The Green Team
The Green Team is a volunteer sub-committee of the Bundanoon Community Association (BCA) Inc. that was formed in January 2004. Its aims are to identify and implement beautification programs in Bundanoon using funds generated by the BCA's annual Garden Ramble. Liaison with other volunteer groups such as the Garden Club and Wingecarribee Shire Council is a priority.
The initial work in an area - clearing, mowing, planting, mulching - is undertaken by a Green Team volunteer working bee. A primary aim is to reduce the ongoing paid maintenance to a minimum.

Green Team volunteers have created an attractive Northern entrance to Bundanoon with a major clean-up and extensive planting of trees and over 3000 bulbs in the Information Bay & Arboretum. An untidy watercourse in the arboretum has been transformed into a sandstone boulder strewn stream. The area at the railway bridge was cleared and a flax and dietes garden planted.
The footpaths from bridge to bridge along Railway and Erith Streets have been reclaimed and regularly mowed. Work undertaken in Picnic Park, Bellevue Park and the embankment opposite the pub further enhanced our town for residents and visitors.
Attractive sandstone town signs have been erected at both Northern and Southern entrances to town with the generous help of local businesses, particularly Bundanoon Sandstone.
A large sandstone sculpture of a lyrebird has been erected prominently at the railway bridge as you enter Bundanoon.
History signs detailing the development of Bundanoon have been placed in the Information Bay and on the History Shed.
How can you be involved?
The Green Team is made up of volunteers from the community and is open to all. Register your interest or ideas with Valerie Crampton on 4883 6574.
Mowing & tidying vacant areas opposite or adjacent to your property is appreciated and makes Bundanoon much more attractive.
