Mens Shed
A branch of the "Mens' Shed" movement - an Australian initiative designed to foster the wellbeing of men in the community - has been initiated in Bundanoon with the assistance of Anglicare, whose brief includes community health matters. Several grants have been obtained from sources including Wingecarribee Shire Council and the NSW Government to assist in the remediation of buildings on a piece of land adjacent to the Rural Fire Service headquarters in Burgess St. Other avenues of funding and/or sponsorship are currently being explored
A general-purpose basic workshop is envisaged, with a comfortable social area attached to act as a drop-in centre, which will be open as often as resources allow. It will cater not only to Bundanoon men but also to those from villages in the general vicinity. The project has now reached lock-up stage and the members will soon be able to occupy the premises. While the group has completed several projects for community benefit, it does not compete with local tradespeople
Meetings are held in the Bundanoon Community Hall at 10:00 am on the first Tuesday of every month - all interested men are welcome. Formalities are kept to a minimum.

The Bundanoon Mens' Shed is developing its own website at www.bundanoonmensshed.com. Links will be put in place to access this site from the BCW site.
